Nick Koerbin is the Executive Director of Association Executive Services (AES) - a national organisation that provides both secretariat support, consulting and training services to the association and not for profit sector. Nick is one of the most experienced association professionals in Australia with over 20 years’ experience as a CEO or Senior Executive for a broad variety of membership based associations. These included the Australian Human Resources Institute, Financial Planning Association, Furniture Industry Association and Materials Australia. His key role in AES is providing assistance to boards and executives developing strategies to grow their membership and introducing innovative methods of delivery of member products and services which includes events and conferences.

During his career he has been responsible for the delivery of over 150 events and conferences for associations and not for profit entities, including major international scientific conferences. Nick holds a Bachelors Degree and Post Graduate Diploma of Management. He is also a Fellow of the Australian Society of Association Executives (AuSAE).

Nick's extensive industry experience will prove invaluable as he updates us on the changing face of association conferences and events.

Bryan Dochstader

Bryan has over 22 years experience in the audio visual industry, starting out his career as an audio engineer and receiving an honours diploma at OIART in Canada in 1994. He has worked in recording studios and as Head Sound and Light Technician aboard three Royal Caribbean International ships. He then studied digital media at the prestigious Vancouver Film School in 2000.

In 2001, Bryan emigrated to Australia and worked with the ground breaking firm Spider Eye Studios, in delivering Australia’s first broadband webcasts. Winning many awards in the industry for the delivery of online streaming experiences, Bryan was promoted to head of the webcasting department.

After a few years working as a touring/recording artist, Bryan returned to the AV industry, starting at Microhire (then Durham AV) in 2010. He brings his experience in the arts to the technical design and delivery of conferences, product launches, gala dinners and festivals.

Chris has been Executive Officer for Business Events Victoria for the past seven years. His role with BEV (as it is affectionately known) includes the delivery of the state government funded 'Regional Victoria Business Events Program’, which is aimed at promoting regional Victoria as a business events destination. Chris originally graduated with a Bachelor of Viticultural Science and began his career in tourism and events with the Australian Wine Tour Company, running tours to the magnificent Yarra Valley for a number of years.

He is a proud Victorian and enjoys showcasing our beautiful state to business event organisers Australia wide.
